The queue goes out the door for bread baked in this tiny bakery. A few small tables allow for weary travellers to take in a treat whilst they are there. There are plenty of treats to choose from! As well as an array of croissants and other viennoiserie, there is the signature flourless chocolate cake, several cupcakes and usually at least one other cake.
The owner and chief baker, Kane McDowell, spent years working in leading restaurants in Australia before returning to Brighton to be near his wife's family. Business is thriving, so much so that it hasn't allowed him time to even create a website for the business. Luckily it hasn't hampered the success. Cakes are also available to purchase whole to take away. |
