| Only the crisps and the coffee are not made from scratch in this little café. Victoria and her husband are members of the Real Bread movement and they espouse the same values in everything they do. The menu is short to keep things fresh. The cakes are made early each morning and any slices not sold will be taken home by Victoria and Tony for their supper. In theory, the brownies and fruit cakes stay on the counter a few extra days - as they only improve - but in reality can often disappear on the same days as well, as they're almost irresistable to visitors and locals alike. |
