| Downhouse Farm's Garden Café offers wholesome, homemade food served al fresco in sheltered gardens with views across Lyme Bay to Portland. The menu includes a selection of daily specials prepared from the farm's own organic meats, herbs and vegetables as well as other select local produce. The cakes and scones are baked daily in the farmhouse kitchen and everything is made to order with special dietary requirements also catered for. The garden backs onto Eype Down, which displays a breathtaking arrangement of bluebells in May. Footpaths meander across the farmland to the door of the cafe along which many customers arrive on foot. The cafe is extremely popular with both locals and visitors who often say they feel more like friends dropping by than customers passing through! |
