Nestled in the picturesque area of Stockbridge in Edinburgh's New Town hides a little piece of Paris. Patisserie Madeleine serves freshly baked fine confections inspired by the great patisseries in France's capital. Tarts, cakes and macarons are just some of the delights on offer along with freshly roasted coffee, loose leaf tea and indulgently rich hot chocolate. Having worked his way up from training in a Michelin-starred restaurant in England to becoming a head chef of a gastronomic bistro in France, Chef Arnuad was inspired to focus exclusively on patisserie. Arnaud’s Scottish wife Nadia encouraged him to bring their love for French baking to Edinburgh where they have been delighting customers ever since they opened their doors. |
